The Dana Point Grand Prix of Cycling is one of the most prestigious one day professional bicycle races in America, hosted in the scenic coastal city of Dana Point, California. The DPGP is a family-oriented celebration that promotes a healthy lifestyle, and offers a unique professional sports experience while raising money for outstanding charities. Top professional and amateur athletes compete on an exciting technical and challenging L-shaped race course set in the picturesque downtown and Heritage Park neighborhood, overlooking the breathtaking Dana Point Harbor.

Come down to Dana Point and watch cyclists take on one of the most challenging criterium courses in the country. With 11 amateur and professional races, 6 kids’ races, a new and improved Fan Zone, we will provide a day full of action, fun, and entertainment for the entire family.

Join us on Sunday, May 1, 2011 for a great weekend of family fun, excitement, and cycling action as part of the Dana Point Grand Prix of Cycling.

Our 5th annual Dana Point Grand Prix of Cycling Professional Criterium will offer exciting race action around a dynamic downtown race course. We’ll have something for the entire family - kids races, vendor expo, food, beverage and fun!

CRITERIUM

Overlooking the beautiful Dana Point Harbor, the L-shaped criterium course will begin on Pacific Coast Highway (Del Prado) and wind its way through downtown Dana Point into Heritage Park and the adjoining residential community with spectacular viewing for fans and spectators before finishing on a long straightaway on PCH.
